Trump Voters: Stop Syria Strikes, Put America First

Following President Trump’s airstrike in Syria, where over 50 cruise missiles were launched at a Syrian airbase in response to a chemical attack, something remarkable happened: Trump’s “America First” base revolted. First, #SyriaHoax started trending on Twitter, which called into question whether Assad’s government in Syria was responsible for the gas attack – many believed that it was a false flag attack by either Turkey, Saudi Arabia, or CIA-backed rebels meant to draw the U.S. into war, similar to the false-flag chemical attack in 2013. As Ron Paul said, “does anyone believe that on the eve of peace talks, just after the White House said the Syrian people should choose their own leaders, that Assad would launch a gas attack to turn the whole world against him?” Keep Reading

Obama Attacks Moscow To Salvage His Legacy

Try as he might to salvage what’s left of his tarnished legacy, President Obama can’t seem to avoid humiliating himself on his way out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. A year or two ago it became painfully apparent that George W. Bush was no longer a viable excuse for Mr. Obama’s own failings and since that time our outgoing Lame-Duck-in-Chief has been grasping desperately for some new bogeyman to point to for the cause of his presidential woes. The latest bogeyman/strawman/red herring has in recent months become Russia and its strongman president, Vladmir Putin. I won’t get into the gory details of the tenuous link proposed between the Kremlin and the DNC hacks, it’s been rehashed ad nauseum at this point. What’s most interesting to me are Mr. Obama’s self-inflicted humiliations and those doled out to him by his nemesis in Moscow. Keep Reading

“It Is Not Our Fight” – Nick Gillespie Talks ISIS And Non-interventionism

Following a conversation at the International Students for Liberty Conference between Judge Andrew Napolitano and Ron Paul, moderated by Nick Gillespie (Editor in Chief of Reason magazine), LibertyConservatives.com was able to interview Gillespie on several issues that were discussed during the conversation. We asked Gillespie what his views on non-interventionism were in relation to the earlier comments made by Ron Paul. Gillespie replied “I think the U.S should only be involved militarily in true defense of war”. Gillespie went on to discuss the situation in Ukraine – the question of what to do when your country is being annexed or under a real threat of invasion. The question of what to do about ISIS was then posed to Gillespie, who stated that the situation there was rather different. Gillespie said that “ISIS doesn’t have thirty thousand people” and cited our unsuccessful arming of Iraq in the past as a reason against arming the opposition. Towards the end of the interview, Gillespie claimed that the conflict in the Islamic State “is not our fight” and… Keep Reading

Is Russia The Real Enemy Of The American People?

Why the demonization of Putin by Glenn Beck and other western media?  First off, let me just say that I enjoy watching many programs on the Blaze, but on Russia, Glenn is listening to the wrong people.   Glenn Beck has recently put out a one sided three part series ominously called, “The Red Storm” which caricatures Russia as an end times force of the “anti-christ” focused on destroying the west.  While the background history on the split between the Orthodox east and Catholic west was well done, the modern analysis falls apart and is easily refuted with just a cursory review of online sources.  Thank God for the internet and the ability to sift through the spin.  So why are western media  trying to turn Russia into the next Bogeyman? Recall that the vassal western media portrayed everything the buffoon Boris Yeltsin did as a move away from communism and towards democracy, but everything Putin has done is “bad and sinister”.  Glenn follows in this vein with his series and seems… Keep Reading

The Ukrainian Crisis: Rebels With a Cause

In Defense of Self-Determination The toppling of the government of Ukraine caused a wide-array of reactions in the United States.  Like most Americans, my first reaction was that of elation when pro-European Union forces overthrew what seemed like an Eastern European dictatorship.  But, that doesn’t tell the whole story of the initial coup d’état in Ukraine. Western Ukraine is wholly different from the East.  It has longed for European contact for the last century.  The West has a built in dislike of Russia.  During Joseph Stalin’s reign in the Soviet Union the Ukraine became the target of Holodomor.  Holodomor was the purposeful starvation of the Ukraine’s populace (Then known as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic). Naturally, many Ukrainians took umbrage at their targeted famine due to the actions of the Soviet government.  This led many Ukrainians to welcome German soldiers as liberators during World War Two.  In fact, a part of Hitler’s elite private army called the Waffen SS (Schutzstaffel) was made up of Ukrainians (SS Galicia).  Eastern Ukrainians,… Keep Reading
