Onward Transgender Soldiers!

As you’ve probably noticed, over the last week or so, there has been a furious debate in American politics and culture over President Trump’s decision to ban transgender soldiers from serving in the United States military. The left, which at one vague point in the past professed to be anti-war, was of course in favor of transgenders serving. “How dare President Trump deny these people the right to fight overseas?!” they asked, still having a residual love of war that they had engendered during the Obama administration. Besides, having transgender soldiers would make soldiering hip, and that’s all that really matters! The right, in turn, argues that since transgender people are overwhelmingly represented in statistics of mental health disorders, having them in an occupation as inherently stressful as front line combat would cause dysfunction and strife in the ranks. Undoubtedly, the latter has some basis to it, according to the testimony of actual combat veterans, and yet… I fully support transgender soldiers serving. Yes, you read that right. I am… Keep Reading

Trump Puts America First, Bans Transgender Individuals From Military Service

President Donald Trump has constantly shown that he will put American national security before political correctness. This is evident in his latest announcement that transgender individuals will be banned from military service, a stark departure from the military policy crafted by his predecessor. “After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow…transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” Trump announced this morning on his Twitter account. “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming…victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you” This announcement effectively reverses a policy put into place by former President Barack Obama allowing transgender individuals to serve in the military. Obama’s so-called achievement was hailed by liberals as a step forward in the battle for LGBT civil rights, and liberals are reacting to Trump’s sudden announcement with predictable outrage. Massie Expresses Disgust Over Military Transgender Funding While Amash Defends His Actions

Liberty-minded Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Justin Amash (R-MI) have hit an impasse when it comes to military transgender funding. Massie is up-in-arms over Congress’ decision to reject an amendment to the 2018 NDAA proposed by Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) to ban military transgender funding while Amash is standing by his controversial vote against the amendment. “I voted to reverse Obama’s policy of allowing the military to pay for sex changes for soldiers. I’m shocked and disappointed that this amendment failed,” Massie wrote in a post on his Congressional Facebook page. “The sponsor of the legislation says that paying for sex changes in the military could cost over $1 billion in the next several years,” Massie wrote. “It’s my understanding that even private insurance does not pay for sex changes, so why should the military?” Hartzler’s amendment read as follows: “Funds available to the Department of Defense may not be used to provide medical treatment (other than mental health treatment) related to gender transition to a person entitled to medical… Keep Reading

Justin Amash Joins RINOs & Democrats To Secure Military Transgender Funding

Representative Justin Amash, a self described fiscal conservative, and 23 other so-called Republicans joined together with Democrats to shoot down an amendment proposed by Missouri Rep. Vicky Hartzler that could potentially have saved upwards of $1.3 billion over the next decade by prohibiting the Pentagon from paying for surgeries and hormone therapy for mentally ill soldiers who are confused about what sex they are. Voting along with all 190 Democrats present and Justin Amash were Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who has a transgender son, as well as anti-Trump moderate Carlos Curbelo and Planned Parenthood apologist John Katko. Hartzler maintained the amendment was intended to focus the attention of the U.S. military on confronting the nation’s adversaries — such as North Korea, Russia and the Islamic State — instead of other tasks. “We must confront these challenges by ensuring our defense dollars maximize the military’s readiness and lethality,” Hartlzer said. “That is why I’m offering an amendment to advance these goals by prohibiting taxpayer dollars from funding gender reassignment surgeries and related… Keep Reading

Culture Wars Within The Heart Of Texas

When I was growing up in probably the reddest of red states, Texas, it was as easy to spot someone from Austin as it was to spot an NRA member, whose concealed handguns forced one to rely on their conversation rather than whether they were packing or not. Within one minute, it was apparent where the latter stood, courtesy of their hyper-aggressive views. Equally quick and equally aggressive was the unrequested political stances bellowed by Austin residents, whose home city was a leftist stronghold in a state of reliably rock-ribbed Republicans. A common example of such instant identification occurred when a student at the University of Texas, headquartered in Austin, bragged of how his city was a place where “liberalism is loud and proud” before telling me his name. Hence, with only a meager middle, Texas has always contained within itself the starkest example of the blue state-red state political and culture wars that are usually expressed on state versus state basis. Federal Agency Promotes Multiple Genders While Only Offering Male Or Female Restrooms

At a recent visit to the Department of Education (DOE), I saw a “Genderbread Person” poster prominently displayed in the main lobby. The poster states that “gender isn’t binary.” It also states, “It’s okay if you’re hungry for more. In fact, that’s the idea.” I decided to do some further investigating. I looked around the building to see all of the restrooms for the multiple genders. Surprise, surprise! The restrooms in the DOE are marked either “Men” or “Women”. The DOE claims they have reached the “educated” position that gender isn’t binary. Nonetheless, they give their employees a binary choice when it comes to using the restroom. As a child, I was taught that “your talk talks, and your walk talks, but your walk talks louder than your talk talks”. By not providing its employees with multiple gender restrooms, the DOE’s “walk” speaks louder than their “talk.” The answer to this rhetorical question is simple. The DOE does not believe its own propaganda. If they really believed that gender… Keep Reading

Are Transgender Women Setting Women Back?

Be careful what you ask for. You might get it. For decades, the feminist movement grew stronger and stronger. Women wanted equality and achieved it. From the right to vote to legal abortion, to gender equality. Today women are empowered with no legal restrictions in their way. Then came the 1990’s, the decade which legalized homosexual marriages. Following that, the Obama administration gave transgenders their moment in the spotlight. Being politically correct is more of a liberal led initiative. Right up to the time their expected successor Hillary Clinton lost the election, the progressive left prided themselves on being openminded and respected for their tolerance. They were all about equality. Yet, the equality that women and liberals have fought so hard for is beginning to take an unusual turn. What began as a huge victory for the feminists fighting so hard for equal rights is now coming full circle in the athletic area. Women’s athletic organizations and education institutions are allowing transgender women (men to women) to compete as… Keep Reading

College Republicans Embrace Transgender Community, Schedule Caitlyn Jenner To Speak At National Convention

The College Republicans have embraced the transgender community by reaching out to Caitlyn Jenner to speak at their national conference next week. She was recently announced as a speaker for the gala event. “BIG NEWS: [Caitlyn Jenner]. #CRNC2017. Mic Drop. BE THERE,” the College Republican National Committee announced in a tweet on Tuesday. While Republicans may have opposed the LGBTQ agenda in the past, this move indicates that the College Republicans are changing their strategy and distancing themselves from social conservatism. The American Conservative Union had booked homosexual technology reporter Milo Yiannopoulos to keynote their annual Conservative Political Action Conference earlier this year before abruptly canceling him after a media-driven controversy. Republican politics are clearly evolving with the times, and core principles may be an unfortunate casualty in this shift. Keep Reading

Bigotry Isn’t Always a Bad Thing

I have a confession to make, dear readers: I am a bigot. That’s right, I am obstinately devoted to my opinions and prejudices and I possess a deep-seated hatred and intolerance of certain groups and beliefs that are in conflict with my own. I suspect you too are a bigot in your own unique ways and also in other ways that are more common. For instance, since World War II, most people in the West and beyond are bigoted against Nazis. There’s nothing wrong with hating Nazis and being intolerant of their warped worldview. This kind of bigotry is actually a good thing. There’s no merit whatsoever to being tolerant and accepting of incorrect and dangerous opinions and those who promulgate them. Not all opinions are equal and not all opinions are valid. Some groups promote ideas that should be stomped out of existence, such as the notion that the workers should forcibly steal the means of production from those who rightfully own them. The California state legislature just… Keep Reading

Mixing Business With Politics

A good balance of business and pleasure is good for companies. It improves morale and helps reduce employee burnout. However, companies that have chosen to mix business with politics have, in most cases, experienced an adverse effect. It’s common knowledge that employees shouldn’t discuss politics when they’re on the clock. In attempts to create a safe and respectful corporate environment, human resources discourage such discussions, as not everyone shares the same political ideology. Which begs the question – why do some U.S. companies promote their political affiliations or stances on certain issues? If history is a past predictor of future events, why would any CEO risk their company’s reputation by affiliating themselves with a specific political party? Knowing the United States is nearly split between republicans and democrats, why would any business gamble on aligning their company with politics, as they’re sure to lose customers who oppose the stance a business should take? Businesses are learning that when they integrate politics within their corporate structure, it poses a great… Keep Reading

The Trans-World Of Make Believe

During the 70’s and 80’s, Generation X children grew up watching “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood”; wholesome programming focused on character development. Near the end of each episode, good old Fred Rogers would take his young viewing audience on an exciting journey to the “Land of Make Believe”. A kingdom of sorts where imagination could run wild and all life’s problems were resolved to everyone’s satisfaction. Now, fast forward to today and you’re likely to find many on the far left clinging to the idea that Mr. Roger’s “Land of Make Believe” really exists, and why shouldn’t they? Like a rich kid with no athletic skills and barely able to maintain a C-average, Obama used his position to win over his constituents with charity. Whenever his diehard supporters cried out for special rights and privileges, in many cases, they got it. The only tradeoff, boost his ego and click the like button when he posted selfies. Transgenderism Is a Myth

Our once great nation is overflowing with poseurs who make believe they’re fighting the good fight against an uneducated army of Philistines, that is, anyone who votes Republican. And so, the myth goes, without the posturing of pawns in entertainment, news media, social media, politics and government, the least fortunate and most misunderstood among us (blacks, Hispanics, gays, transgenderism, etc.) would be crushed under the unfeeling boot heels of puritan era artifacts who long ago outlived their usefulness, if they were ever useful to begin with. Unpaid big-mouthery is all the rage these days and it always has been; people are frequently lazy but they’re opinionated too. The bifurcated quest for righteous bragging rights and the path of least resistance leads inevitably to the human inclination to proclaim outrage at the supposedly outrageous while doing next to nothing to correct often wholly imagined injustices. Boy Scouts Go Nuts, They’re Now Allowing Girls

Boy Scouts of America finally fell to the social justice warriors Monday night when it announced that it would welcome transgender ‘boys’ to the program. Unlike the social justice-savvy Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts have been long afflicted by the champions of so-called social justice. Their insistence on religious and traditional values has been challenged over and over. Despite winning every lawsuit in court, the BSA eventually capitulated to their demands. For years, the BSA held that openly homosexual individuals wouldn’t be allowed to join. In 2013, after tremendous controversy and criticism from both the Right and the Left, the BSA finally announced that it would accept openly homosexual boys into Boy Scouts of America while retaining the ban on gay adults. Finally, in 2015, the BSA decided to allow gay adult leaders. Keep Reading
