Revive The Tea Party!

In the age of Trump, the Right has been divided into two sides. On one side, we have the alt-right and alt-lite which seeks to defend Western Civilization by any means necessary. While I generally agree with these folks that Western principles should be preserved, I disagree strongly with their very tactics, such as play disruption and embracing racism. I personally feel that the best way to spread ideas is to actually hold discussions, not brawls. As seen in the aftermath of Charlottesville, these extremist forces have not succeeded in building sympathy for their cause as their stunt only incited more… Keep Reading

America’s Constitution PAC Aims To Spur New Tea Party Movement, Defeat Obamacare

With Obama no longer in the oval office, the right wing is less focused on Constitutional issues, but not every conservative and libertarian has given up on that fight. One political action committee is sweeping into action right as they are needed most–to help Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and other conservative hardliners in their fight to defeat Obamacare. “I was at these tea party rallies with a hundred thousand people on the Mall in Washington,” Paul said last week on Philadelphia talk radio. “Where are those people now and what happened to a movement that said that we believed in… Keep Reading

House Freedom Caucus Member Mo Brooks Announces Senate Run

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) is attempting to make the jump from the House over to the Senate. The ultra-conservative lawmaker officially kicked off his campaign today after making several pit stops throughout the state of Alabama. “America’s future is at risk because our country’s foundational principles are under daily attack,” Brooks said as reported by the Alabama Media Group. “Our republic is only as good as our elections process. America’s elections are threatened by those who support voter fraud and election theft by opposing voter identification laws while encouraging non-citizens to vote in American elections.” Brooks is competing for the… Keep Reading

What Sounds More Radical: “Tea Party” Or “The Resistance”?

Given the rhetoric of conservative activists and Republican officials during the 2008 presidential campaign, it was clear that the opposition to President Barack Obama would be strong. At the time, the rhetoric often spoke of unprecedented socialism and the idea that America would be forever changed. Obama was seen as more than just a liberal or a progressive, he was a devout socialist with numerous ties to dangerous radicals to his opponents. After Obama took office, a movement of conservatives and libertarians would rise from the ashes of a defeated cause. Despite failing to stop Obama in 2008, these activists… Keep Reading

Coup At Heritage Foundation: Freedom Caucus-aligned DeMint To Be Ousted By Establishment

Former Senator Jim DeMint is set to be imminently ousted from his position as President of the Heritage Foundation according to a new report by Politico. Heritage board members aligned with the Republican establishment are set to announce they will not renew DeMint’s contract, which ends later this year, within the coming days. During the Bush administration, the Heritage Foundation was broadly supportive of the Republican establishment, providing strong support for Bush’s foreign and domestic policies. DeMint resigned his Senate seat in 2013 in order to take his current position at the Heritage Foundation, and has since radically shifted the organization to the right. Keep Reading

Christians Bullied At Michigan “March 4 Trump” Event By Green Energy Lobbyists

Anti-Christian organizers tainted the largest “March 4 Trump” rally in the state of Michigan on Saturday after the primary event organizer denied scheduled speakers to speak at the rally, leaving many attendees feeling like their rights had been trampled upon in the state Capitol. Mark Gurley, Michigan Republican Party Grassroots Vice-Chair, was not even allowed to give the opening prayer by the event organizer, Tammie Trescone Schwartz. He had to give the prayer session with a portable microphone and speaker system brought to the event by a fellow activist. In addition, Pastor Phil Smith and Dave Agema, former State Senator and… Keep Reading

Rand Paul Taps Liberty Movement Leader As Iowa Political Director

Sen. Rand Paul’s 2016 presidential campaign, which in recent months has gone from being a strong possibility to a near certainty, has hired a new political director to conduct operations in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa. Jonathan Van Norman, who served as former Rep. Ron Paul’s regional director in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District during his 2012 presidential run, will join an Iowa campaign team which is already staffed with several big names such as former Iowa Republican Party chairmen Steve Grubbs and AJ Spiker. In addition to his work for Ron Paul 2012, Van Norman’s impressive resume includes Liberty… Keep Reading

A Movement To Maturity

Think not those faithful who praise all thy words and actions; but those who kindly reprove thy faults. – Socrates Last week I wrote an open letter to social conservatives, in the interest of broadening communication between two groups that both have a vital interest in stopping the socialist slide engineered by people who benefit from government expansion.  As a homeschooled Christian conservative who chose to plant my flag firmly within the Liberty Movement, I think I can offer some perspective to those on both sides who don’t see an avenue of cooperation. But as I pointed out in last… Keep Reading

The Enemy Of My Enemy

Since the Branstad-led moderate takeover of the Iowa GOP in April of this year, social conservatives have found themselves pushed into the same corner of the room as the Liberty Movement – unwanted by the very party whose base they form.  Several social conservative and tea party groups worked together with my organization, Liberty Iowa, to try to stem the tide of the establishment pushback, but to no avail. It was too little, too late, to hold our ground in 2014. But there’s no faster way to build alliances than being thrown into the same foxhole together when the bullets… Keep Reading
