OMB Director Mick Mulvaney strongly stressed his libertarian leanings in a recent interview with the Washington Examiner. Two Key Presidential Appointments Move Closer To Senate Approval

Today, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs held a hearing on two key Trump appointees. Trump nominated Russ Vought as the Deputy Director, Office of Management and Budget. Vought’s primary duty will be to assist Mick Mulvaney with the budget. Senate Democrats have shut down the Trump administration. Even though Republicans hold a majority on the Senate floor, Democrats have been able to stop Trump’s political appointments.
