Why Are We Angry?

The arbiters of our culture at Old Media outlets such as the Washington Post and the New York Times, and the “young and hip” people who write exactly like the Old Media outlets (Huffington Post, Salon, etc) have been in something of a conniption for the past year and a half. Namely, they’ve been wondering what is to be done with these revolting peasants? When they do try to understand it, I can’t help but notice that their “explanations” are one of two of the exact same paradigms that have existed for decades: Either those poor beknighted people are dupes… Keep Reading

An Outstanding Parable For Masculinity

Today’s post is about a video game. Don’t close the window, I have a serious point in all of this! I freely admit that as a hobby, games are not in the least constructive, and correspondingly, as I’ve grown up, have bills to pay and dedicate most of my free time to my creative endeavors, my time playing games has decreased. But I still feel that video games have the potential to be a great art form, and should be taken seriously (the fact that the games currently and pretentiously trying to be “art” are all terrible is an issue for… Keep Reading

Book Review: “Free Speech Isn’t Free”

So the time has come for me to review a book written by my boss (my tertiary boss to be more specific. I work three jobs, so you know I’m amongst the societal elite). More specifically, it is Roosh V’s most recent book Free Speech Isn’t Free, the first of his books to be written while I was on staff at Return of Kings. FSIS is a relatively short (a little more than 200 pages), immensely readable tome that provides several things: most obviously a harrowing story of one man’s struggle against government and mob censorship, it is also a… Keep Reading

Libertarian Civil Rights Official Stands Up For Men’s Rights In Universities

Libertarian activist Candice E. Jackson was recently appointed by President Donald Trump as the top civil rights official in the Department of Education. In her role, she is trying to address the oft-taboo issue of men’s rights on college campuses, where feminists and other leftists have worked to create a culture of hysteria against males. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos heard it from all sides throughout the day. She met with assault victims, students who were accused of assault alongside their families, higher education officials, and advocates from both sides of the aisle. While DeVos maintains her objectivity, Jackson is an… Keep Reading

What Is Our End Game?

We’ve made the big time, folks! And by “we,” I don’t mean “me,” specifically, but rather the reactosphere as a nebulous organization has made the big time! The New York Times, the Washington Post, and other esteemed publications are talking about the alt-right, the manosphere, neoreaction, paleoconservatism, and all of the various permutations of intellectual louts that give the powers-that-be a nervous twinge. And yet, of all the articles by “proper thinkers” on us, I was most affected by a Cracked article. You remember Cracked, don’t you? That website that used to feature light humor and occasionally thought-provoking articles before… Keep Reading

“Re-Imagined Masculinity” Is Always Doomed To Fail

A common trope one hears in the midst of the “official” discussions on masculinity (ie: stuff that you’d never find within a mile radius of a website such as this one) is the idea that “toxic masculinity” can be solved by “reimagining masculinity.” To elaborate, this is the idea that the traditional “social construct” of masculinity is harmful to all: it forces men to live up to a thuggish, belligerent, stressful ideal of masculinity that deprives them of worthwhile emotional connections, it hurts women because this “false” ideal of masculinity is the wellspring of cat-calling, the pay-gap, and of course… Keep Reading
