Heroic Nationalists Expose True Colors Of Craven Libertarians And Conservatives

After globalist liberal candidate Emmanuel Macron defeated his populist nationalist opponent Marine Le Pen in yesterday’s French run-off election, American “free marketeers” are rejoicing. The French people have lost their pride, given up their right to self-determination, and erased any semblance of national sovereignty. This is cause of celebration for cosmopolitan libertarians and conservatives, who are ecstatic that the status quo remains intact for their oligarchical masters. “The election of Marine Le Pen in France’s presidential election on Sunday would have been bad news for France, for the United States, and for the world,” Dalibor Rohac of the American Enterprise Institute said in a FOX News op/ed. “Le Pen is no friend of conservatism… Frexit, which would have been likely accompanied by a default on France’s sovereign debt, could trigger a global financial panic of a magnitude far exceeding the experience of 2008 and 2009.” The European Union, a globalist entity filled with international bureaucrats setting an authoritarian agenda for an entire continent, will be preserved. That is what… Keep Reading

Cato VP Attacks Ron Paul, Calls His Ideas a “Hideous Corruption Of Libertarian Ideas”

In a series of tweets Wednesday afternoon, Cato Institute Vice President of Research Brink Lindsey called Ron Paul a xenophobe, conspiracy theorist, and Paul’s philosophy a “hideous corruption of libertarian ideas.” In two back-to-back tweets, the Cato VP stated that “the most prominent libertarian voice of recent times, Ron Paul, opposed all trade agreements and promoted anti-trade conspiracy theories” and “Ron Paul’s xenophobia was a hideous corruption of libertarian ideas and puts his movement in the Trumpism family tree.” Keep Reading

Trump Strategist Steve Bannon Abandons Tea Party Roots, Criticizes Freedom Caucus For Health Care Stand

After the Freedom Caucus stopped House Majority Speaker Paul Ryan’s health care bill from even receiving a floor vote, conservatives and libertarians were elated, but serious consequences may be on the way if White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon’s words are any indicator. Conservatives and libertarians hoping their health care victory would result in Trump embracing their agenda have reason to be concerned. Some very choice words made by White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon regarding the Freedom Caucus to the mainstream media cast serious doubt on the likelihood of an alliance forming between limited government advocates and the White House. Meet The “Neocons” That Every Libertarian Should Applaud And Embrace

Neocon has been the go-to pejorative in libertarian circles for many years, and deservedly so. The Bush Administration ripped up the Constitution, thrust the country in endless wars, and sent the debt through the roof. These policies were then aggressively continued during the Obama regime, but times are finally beginning to change. In the age of Trump, neocon influence is waning. His “America First” talk does not align with their agenda, and tensions are bubbling to the surface. The neocons are clearly working to undermine Trump, and their star within Republican circles is fading fast. They floated Evan McMullin as an Independent Presidential candidate for the sole purpose of sabotaging Trump’s chances. Former neocon all-stars Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain are now national laughingstocks. Perhaps it has come time for libertarians to take the term neocon. Libertarians have the opportunity to Make Neocons Great Again, but not in the traditional way. Instead of meaning neoconservativism, the term must be co-opted and re-appropriated to mean the far more interesting and… Keep Reading

Face To Face With Liberal Indoctrination

Some time ago, I suggested that liberals have, by in large, lost their minds. This is based mostly on their denial of reality and their freakish hypersensitivity when confronted with criticism or ideas that differ from their own. They appear to be coming apart at the seams with nothing concrete to ground them, but I ended the article with the idea that perhaps they aren’t crazy and are merely suffering the ill effects of years of brainwashing. The indoctrination received by our friends on the left begins, for the most part, in the public school system where the chief virtues taught to children — the favorite target of cults and authoritarian governments — are obedience and conformity to and dependence on the state. Even outside of the education system there is no shortage of reinforcement from government and various institutions for the indoctrination provided by the state at its failing schools. Our entertainment media bolsters statist messaging with jingoistic appeals to our emotions and the mainstream news is awash… Keep Reading

The Beast From Beyond Reality

The following thought is certainly not original with me, but regardless of who expressed it first, it bears repeating: Conservatives craft policy based on the world as it is, and liberals craft policy based on how they believe the world should be. Said another way, the former seeks to adapt to the confines of reality, the latter is completely out of touch with it. This dichotomy can be traced back to the early twentieth century when the nascent progressive movement was in the wicked thrall of the eugenics craze. Lead by villains such as Margaret Sanger, these genetic elitists believed the human condition could be purged of its undesirable elements and inclinations through selective breeding and abortion on demand. But the elitism didn’t stop at merely tinkering with reproduction. The minimum wage has at its root a distinct effort to exclude from the labor force those members of society who the progressives believed would be a hindrance to the successful propagation of a master race. It wasn’t enough to… Keep Reading

Election Results Show Third Parties Are a Dead End For Liberty Activists

While the world spins off of its axis in lieu of a Trump victory, some libertarians are celebrating a different kind of victory. The Libertarian Party had its best showing ever with the Gary Johnson and Bill Weld ticket. As of Nov. 10, they had racked up 4,083,280 accounting for 3.23 percent of the vote. This smashed any previous vote totals several times over. These results have fostered some optimism, but fell way short of the lofty expectations that were floated at the nominating conference. Libertarians believed that with two experienced governors that they could really capitalize on historically unpopular major party candidates. At first, the goal was 15 percent. After many lackluster press appearances, the goal was reduced to 5 percent. They ended up with three percent, and not on the national radar in any tangible manner. The Libertarian Party needed to reach the 5 percent threshold to qualify for federal funding. They missed that goal, but certain states did beat the 5 percent threshold which will open… Keep Reading

Where Have All The CPAC Libertarians Gone?

The halls of the Conservative Political Action Conference were not humming with the excitement of liberty as it has been in years past. The Conservative Political Action Conference in 2015 was as close to a libertarian dream as the conference has ever come. Enthusiastic young libertarians, optimistic that liberty would prevail in the 2016 election, proudly sported their Stand With Rand shirts draped in pro-liberty stickers and pins. Panels were presented incorporating libertarian ideas, such as the Privacy versus Security debate with Judge Andrew Napolitano and The Red Pill or The Blue Pill? A Debate on Marijuana Legalization with Governor Gary Johnson. “It was amazing to see conservatives and libertarians coalescing at the conference last year,” said West Chester University of Pennsylvania student Bri Jamshidi, a three-time CPAC attendee. But where were all the libertarians at CPAC this year? Last year, libertarian speakers, panels, and attendees seemed to be a focal point at the conference. Attendees couldn’t miss the negative boo’s at references to American foreign intervention or the… Keep Reading
