The Donald Trump Jr. “Scandal” Highlights The Imminent Decline Of The Mainstream Media

I haven’t wanted to write about the whole Donald Trump Jr. thing because the story is utter crap, but here I find myself writing about a crap story with nothing underpinning it but crap piled upon layer after layer of crap. The Democratic partisans, enraged liberals, and their lapdogs in the mainstream media have been salivating over this particular fake news story, which says more about them than it does about Trump Jr. and his father’s administration. Here’s something worth noting that won’t get brought up by MSNBC or CNN or the New York Times: Famed liberal stalwart Alan Dershowitz even says that the Trump Jr. story is crap. You may now be asking yourself, “Okay, it might be crap, but how is it fake news? Even Trump Jr. admitted to his own culpability by releasing his e-mails, doesn’t that mean it’s a true story?” Sure, I don’t dispute that a meeting occurred between Trump Jr. and some sleazy Russian lawyer and her sleazy Russian compatriots. It’s not fake… Keep Reading

The European Migrant Crisis And Historical Amnesia: A Personal Testament From Austria

The migrant crisis has, like an uncontrolled blaze tumbling through a dense forest, left few parts of Europe untouched. Stories of refugees abounded even in the part of Austria known as Burgenland, where I resided for a week during my travels on the Continent back in January. I was staying with the great-granddaughter of my great-great-grandmother’s sister, who happened to live in the small town of Breitenbrunn. This was the same town from which my great-great-grandparents emigrated in the later half of the nineteenth century to the United States in search of a better life. Burgenland, as with much of Austria and Bavaria, is quaint and idyllic. Neuseidl Lake, a popular tourist attraction in the summer, lies not far from Brietenbrunn. The region is known for its wine, and the birthplaces and residences of many a famous composer and their patrons – Haydn, Liszt, Hummel, and the Esterhazy family foremost among them – dot the countryside. Burgenland is well-connected to the hubs of central Europe: Vienna and Bratislava are… Keep Reading

Islamic Libertarian Harassed By Leftists After Starting a Fundraiser For Deceased Oathkeeper

When oathkeeping patriot Frank Morganthaler suffered a heart attack while protesting Sharia Law this past weekend, leftists laughed at him as his life slipped away. This inspired an Islamic libertarian to start a fundraiser for the deceased man despite their political disagreements. This show of unity was soundly rejected by the intolerant left, who have started a campaign of harassment against the compassionate Muslim. Will Coley’s idea was to raise funds to show mercy toward their enemies during the Islamic holy season of Ramadan. At a time when political tensions are reaching frightening highs, Coley hoped that this gesture would re-introduce a little bit of human dignity into the political sphere. After encountering vicious hate-filled leftists on social media, Coley’s hopes were dashed. “We will not be deterred in our drive to do good for others, even those who see themselves as my enemy,” Coley wrote on Facebook in defense of his cause. Despite the heavy flak he is taking, he is hoping to raise $10,000 to pay for… Keep Reading

Hypocritical Arab Leaders Tell Trump That Qatar Responsible For ‘Funding Of Radical Ideology’

President Donald Trump has hit back against Qatar for suggesting a coup against him, stating that the Arab leaders he met at last month’s summit in Riyadh universally blamed Qatar for “funding of radical ideology” and “extremism”. Qatar has strong ties with global Islamist networks, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood. On Twitter, he said: “During my recent trip to the Middle East I stated that there can no longer be funding of Radical Ideology. Leaders pointed to Qatar – look!” “So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off. They said they would take a hard line on funding extremism, and all reference was pointing to Qatar. Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of terrorism!”  Keep Reading

Bigotry Isn’t Always a Bad Thing

I have a confession to make, dear readers: I am a bigot. That’s right, I am obstinately devoted to my opinions and prejudices and I possess a deep-seated hatred and intolerance of certain groups and beliefs that are in conflict with my own. I suspect you too are a bigot in your own unique ways and also in other ways that are more common. For instance, since World War II, most people in the West and beyond are bigoted against Nazis. There’s nothing wrong with hating Nazis and being intolerant of their warped worldview. This kind of bigotry is actually a good thing. There’s no merit whatsoever to being tolerant and accepting of incorrect and dangerous opinions and those who promulgate them. Not all opinions are equal and not all opinions are valid. Some groups promote ideas that should be stomped out of existence, such as the notion that the workers should forcibly steal the means of production from those who rightfully own them. The California state legislature just… Keep Reading

Breitbart Goes Politically Correct, Fires Reporter For Criticizing Muslims

Times have changed since Steve Bannon left Breitbart News to serve as White House chief strategist. When Bannon was editor-in-chief of the publication, it never shied away from controversy and featured a variety of firebrands on their writing staff. Less than a year later, merely criticizing the Islamic religion can get you a pink slip at Breitbart. Former Breitbart journalist Katie McHugh wrote that “there would be no deadly terror attacks in the U.K. if Muslims didn’t live there” in a Tweet she posted after a terror attack killed seven people and injured 50 others in London on Saturday. It received over 1,000 retweets, and expressed a sentiment undoubtedly shared by the bulk of Breitbart’s readership. Nevertheless, it was considered a transgression large enough for McHugh to lose her job. “Breitbart News fired me for telling the truth about Islam and Muslim immigration,” McHugh said. She refuses to back down from her statements, and set up a fundraiser page to help pay for her “essential medical bills.” Keep Reading

The Left And Islam: Enemies Of Western Civilization

The only good thing to emerge from the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Manchester is that we in the United States have perhaps the most unambiguous picture yet of what surrender looks like. From useful idiots like Katy Perry to George Stephanopoulos, we have witnessed the same consistent refrain: The problem isn’t mass murder, the problem is that people have a problem with mass murder. The real crime isn’t a bomb exploding at an Ariana Grande concert, the real crime is that anyone would have the temerity to highlight the root cause of the problem. The real problem is Western Civilization, a problem which must be eradicated. Mean spirited words aren’t always inappropriate but in our day and age of appeasement and craven kowtowing to the enemy of civilization – Islam – mean spirited words are worse than mass murder and those who speak them deserve to be horribly murdered. The subtext of the Leftist narrative behind this attack and all those which preceded it and all those… Keep Reading

Explosion At Ariana Grande Concert In UK Kills 22; ISIS Takes Responsibility

At least 22 people, including children, have been confirmed dead and almost 60 others are injured following reports of multiple explosions after an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester in the North of England on Monday Evening. In a tweet, the North West Ambulance Service said it had “taken 59 casualties from the Manchester Arena incident to various hospitals and treated a number of walking wounded on scene.” “We were making our way out and when we were right by the door there was a massive explosion and everybody was screaming,” concert-goer Catherine Macfarlane told Reuters. “It was a huge explosion – you could feel it in your chest. It was chaotic. Everybody was running and screaming and just trying to get out.” While the cause has not been confirmed, terrorism is suspected. Greater Manchester Police and the local NHS trust confirmed they had responded to a “serious incident” at the Manchester Arena, and urged members of the public to stay clear of the area. Britain is currently on its… Keep Reading

Tripolitan War

A Lesson From The Tripolitan War

In the west, people tend to have short memories. Typically this isn’t a problem because most lapses in memory tend to be centered around the mundane: Where you left your car keys, picking up the dry-cleaning, the date of your third cousin’s wedding to the Shriner who resembles Dwight Yoakam, only uglier – if you can imagine that. With any luck you’ll find your keys, get to the dry-cleaner, and, hopefully, you chose something more becoming to wear to the nuptial ceremony than a leisure suit. These things are easily understood and forgiven, if not completely relatable. The leisure suit… Not so much. It’s the bigger things we forget that are less understandable. Entire wars are said to have been lost to the sands of time. Less notable than the Korean War is the Tripolitan War which was declared against the United States some two hundred and sixteen years ago. Angered by President Thomas Jefferson’s refusal to pay ransom in exchange for captured merchant vessels, Yusuf Pasha declared war… Keep Reading

France Votes For Cultural Suicide

The suspense is over. Marine Le Pen, the so-called “far-right” nationalist seeking to win the French presidency, has been defeated by EU suck-up sycophant Emmanuel Macron. The French voters were given a stark choice between the centrist Macron and the populist Le Pen: Continue following the path of cultural suicide – all the while expecting a long promised emergence of enrichment – or follow the path of drastic measures commensurate with the task of managing drastic times. The French chose cultural suicide, proving that things obviously haven’t gotten bad enough in their country to trigger their national survival instinct. Maybe they don’t have one or they did and lost their way under the leadership of unctuous elitists in Brussels. One way or the other, it seems the French threshold for self-inflicted suffering is as strong as many in the west had feared. Or perhaps they were successfully swayed by former Celebrity-in-Chief Barack Obama who interjected himself into their politics at the last minute. Keep Reading

The Treasonous Alliance Between The Left And Islam

The most perplexing and perverse development in our country’s politics over the past decade or so has been the unholy alliance between the so-called “progressive” movement and the pseudo-religious terrorist organization best known as Islam. A degree in the history of Abrahamic faith systems – maybe only Islam in particular – would be helpful in highlighting the absurdity of the Progressive-Muslim pact, but it’s unnecessary – the mind-numbing stupidity of the arrangement is virtually visible from space. On one side, you have snowflake social justice warriors who champion the causes of women and gays, among other things. On the other side, you have an unwashed horde of deviant psychopaths who despise everything their leftist partners uphold as virtuous. Strange bedfellows indeed. Keep Reading

The New Colossus Criteria

When Emma Lazarus wrote The New Colossus in 1883 she may or may not have been aware that, 6,500 miles to the east in the Arabian Peninsula, the Al Saud were clashing with their bitter rivals, the al-Rashids from the city of Hayil. Things didn’t go well for the Al Saud and, consequently, they were driven from Ndaj into exile, eventually settling in Kuwait. It’s a fascinating story and perhaps Miss Lazarus would have agreed. Warring factions and power struggles aren’t unique to Islam. For centuries, bitter rivalries between the monarchical governments of Europe tormented the continent with near non-stop bloodshed. World War I destroyed the European monarchies as well as the Muslim Ottoman empire, and after the Second World War western states eventually coalesced under a new covenant. Rivalries persist to this day among NATO member states but we have, by in large, become more civil and sophisticated. It’s a cerebral and superficially amiable relationship but it works. The Solution To Firearmphobia: Education

On a variety of issues ranging from same-sex marriage to transgenderism to Islam, the Left has called for a more informed and accepting public. On one issue, however, it seems to benefit them to keep the public in the dark: firearms and the second amendment. Passing modern gun-control schemes such as an ‘assault weapons’ ban and a ban on ‘high capacity’ magazines intrinsically requires an ignorant public. The reason why so many folks are anti-gun is simply because a large swath of the general population doesn’t really know all that much about guns. With only about 1/3 of Americans owning a firearm, the rest don’t have much of a reason to learn about guns, much less the laws surrounding them. Keep Reading

Angela Merkel And How To Destroy Multiculturalism

In the powder keg of nationalism that has become Europe, it’s fair to say that in many ways, multiculturalism has been the spark. The recent outpouring of refugees from the Middle East into Europe, which ensued a wave of crime and terrorist activity, has, at the very least, struck up the debate concerning Europe’s nationalist uprising and the idea of multiculturalism. Time after time, the punditry and blogosphere have been overflown with all the necessary buzzwords such as “nationalism,” “Islamophobia,” “racism,” “terrorism,” and the like, and inevitably the focus has always seemed to shift back to one name: Angela Merkel. Essentially, the German Chancellor has been the spokesperson and prime implementer of multiculturalism throughout Europe, being largely responsible for Germany’s refugee open door policy. In 2015 alone, Germany welcomed just shy of 900,000 refugees and migrants, many coming from conflict-ridden areas of the Middle East. This influx preceded the now infamous New Year’s Eve incidence, in which over 1,200 women were sexually assaulted throughout Germany during New Year’s Eve celebrations.… Keep Reading

America Doesn’t Have a Gun Problem

The reason the Founders enshrined the Second Amendment in the Constitution was because they understood that the inherent dignity and worth of the individual person expressed itself in the concepts of “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” An inherent part of Life and Liberty is security and the right of self-defense. We are endowed by our Creator with the desire for liberty and safety, and thus, have the right to hunt for sport and for food, and most importantly, to defend ourselves in the case of attack, threat to ourselves, our family and our property. The surest way of accomplishing this is to acknowledge, uphold and enforce the inalienable right that individuals have the right bear arms. In America, the most common expression of this fundamental human right is gun ownership, and although they represent a small percentage of guns overall, sporting rifles (or as the alarmist media labels them, “assault rifles”) are a popular choice for enthusiasts, sport shooters, and responsible gun owners. One of the most… Keep Reading

Moral Relativism And Jihad

The work of Americans of good conscience – who also happen to be adherents of the Muslim faith – people like Asra Q. Nomani, Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, and M.J. Khan is being undermined not only by the bloody violence of radical Islam, but of the failure of Western institutions to recognize and address the threat of jihad. We all know why the barbaric savages entered the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo and brutally murdered a dozen people in early 2015; why attackers murdered 130 in attacks that included Paris’ Bataclan theatre; why a married jihadi couple in San Bernadino gunned down 14 co-workers: because their hateful, murderous ideology demands that they convert, subjugate or kill people who do not believe as they do, and they profess that their religion motivates, guides and justifies their actions. Those facts are grounded not in race, but in cultural identity and ideology. That is why no amount of navel-gazing will wash away the fact that radical Islamic fundamentalism is the root of not only the Paris… Keep Reading

Beheading Children Beneath The Black Flag

Qur’an, Surah 8:12 – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”  Matthew 24:9 – “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.” There is an unambiguous contrast drawn between those two statements of faith. In one, ostensibly fundamentalist words being used by groups like Islamic State (aka ISIS, ISIL) and others to justify and motivate their persecution and butchery of Christians in Iraq and elsewhere. In the other, prescient words of warning to those whose faith would make them targets and victims of fanatical, bloodthirsty hatred. Canon Andrew White, Vicar of the Anglican Church in Baghdad, experienced the horror firsthand when Islamic State descended upon on the Christian town of Qaraqosh. “I’m almost in tears because I’ve just had somebody in my room whose little child was cut in half. I baptized his child in my church in Baghdad. This little boy, they named him after me – he… Keep Reading
