Uncuckable: Tucker Carlson Takes Down Russia Sensationalist And Neocon Shill In Back-to-Back Shows

Fox News host and ratings kingpin Tucker Carlson orchestrated a stunning takedown of two neoconservative pundits on back-to-back nights over the topic of Russia. He debated FOX News contributor Ralph Peters and Council on Foreign Relations fellow Max Boot this week. Both Tucker Carlson Tonight guests argued successively that Russia represented an existential national security threat to the United States–one even more dangerous than that of the Islamic State–with Boot attesting the leftist conspiracy theory that Russia had stolen the 2016 US Election. Peters in particular proved beholden to grandiose moral equivocations. He informed Carlson that he “sounded like Charles Lindbergh in 1938 saying Hitler hasn’t attacked us” for proposing that the United States cooperate with the world’s second strongest military power to destroy ISIS. While perhaps Peters’ Hitler equivocation would resonate with the Trump-era left–with its frequent proclivities for using Hitler and Nazi comparisons at the slightest of whims–this tired and intellectually unoriginal accusation increasingly rings dry and hollow with right-leaning Americans. The North Korean Problem Exacerbates Tensions Between US And China

President Donald Trump’s bellicose approach to handling relations with North Korea does not appear to be paying off. China is unimpressed with Trump’s threats and saber-rattling, and is sticking with their diplomatic approach to handling the authoritarian regime. “There’s been a lot of wishful thinking on the U.S. side that China was coming around in its approach,” said John Delury, a Seoul professor who studies North Korean affairs. Trump previously made remarks that China was coming around on North Korea, and the nation was willing to mirror his tough approach toward the repressive dictatorship. Trump’s optimistic talk turned out to be premature, and the Trump administration has shifted in recent weeks to aggressive rhetoric toward China as well. Keep Reading

Congress Will Make Sure Taxpayers Keep Sending Money To Terrorists

One of the few elected Democratic lawmakers with an extensive anti-war record, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), has combined forces with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) to push legislation that would ban federal agencies from using taxpayer-backed funds to provide weapons, training, intelligence, or any other type of support to terrorist cells such as al-Qaeda, ISIS, or any other group that is associated with them in any way. The Stop Arming Terrorists Act is so unique that it’s also the only bill of its kind that would also ban the government from funneling money and weapons through other countries that support, whether directly or indirectly, terrorist nations such as Saudi Arabia. To our surprise—or should we say shame?—only 13 other lawmakers out of hundreds have co-sponsored Gabbard’s House bill. Paul’s Senate version of the bill, on the other hand, has zero co-sponsors. While both pieces of legislation were just introduced in early 2017, no real action has been taken as of right now. This proves that Washington refuses to support bills… Keep Reading
