Rep. Thomas Massie Is ‘Excited’ About Trump’s Presidency, Sees ‘Great Opportunity’ Moving Forward

It has been a tumultuous start to Trump’s Presidency as the inexperienced outsider adjusts to life in Washington DC, but Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is impressed with what he has seen thus far. Massie thinks the 45th President is off to a great start mainly because of his choice of rule-of-law Justice Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. “I’m excited for the wins that we got already, which includes Supreme Court nominee Gorsuch being confirmed and that’s going to last for decades,” Massie said to Breitbart News. “Neil Gorsuch was worth the entire election, everything else is a bonus.” Massie is also encouraged by the prospect of rolling back regulations during the Trump presidency using the Congressional Review Act. Massie said, “I lost track of how many we’ve done, and it was only used once successfully before Trump. and that was an OSHA rule with President George W. Bush that Bush was able to rescind a rule created during the Clinton era. I’m excited about all of those and more.… Keep Reading

Sen. Rand Paul Talks Health Care Compromise After Golf Outing With Trump

After completing a widely publicized golf outing with President Trump, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is moderating his stance regarding the full repeal of Obamacare. Instead of demanding for subsidies to be fully repealed, Paul indicated that he would settle for a mere reduction in subsidies to make a passable bill. “I think the compromise could be keeping some of the underlying payments in Obamacare, some small percentage of them, in order to placate the people who want that, but not affirmatively putting it in the bill,” Paul said. “Conservatives want 100 percent repeal, let’s say moderates want 80 percent repeal. Let’s vote on 90 percent repeal and be done with it.” Keep Reading

After Failing On Health Care, President Trump Transforms Into “John Kasich Republican”

The past week has not been encouraging for freedom lovers and liberty-minded individuals who hope to work with President Trump. Trump has effectively thrown the House Freedom Caucus under the bus after they refused to pass unpopular health care legislation. The American Health Care Act (AHCA) was the baby of House Speaker Paul Ryan. It was crafted in back rooms, saved most of the harmful anti-market provisions within Obamacare, and would have put the GOP on the hook for the impending disaster. Trump should be thanking the House Freedom Caucus for helping to torpedo this mess. Instead, Trump has waged war against them. Keep Reading

Trump Strategist Steve Bannon Abandons Tea Party Roots, Criticizes Freedom Caucus For Health Care Stand

After the Freedom Caucus stopped House Majority Speaker Paul Ryan’s health care bill from even receiving a floor vote, conservatives and libertarians were elated, but serious consequences may be on the way if White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon’s words are any indicator. Conservatives and libertarians hoping their health care victory would result in Trump embracing their agenda have reason to be concerned. Some very choice words made by White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon regarding the Freedom Caucus to the mainstream media cast serious doubt on the likelihood of an alliance forming between limited government advocates and the White House. House Freedom Caucus, Sen. Rand Paul Score Political Victory As “Obamacare 2.0” Implodes

The House Freedom Caucus scored a big political victory yesterday, as their fierce opposition to the American Health Care Act (AHCA) prevented the controversial legislation from even bring brought up for a vote on the floor. “I applaud House conservatives for keeping their word to the American people,” Senator Rand Paul said in a statement. In spite of legislating from a different chamber, Paul was in the corner of the House Freedom Caucus from the start urging members to stand strong and even giving them pointers from President Trump’s signature book The Art of the Deal in a well-received publicity stunt. Turning Health Into a ‘Right’ Makes Open Access Impossible

Unlike popular belief, direct democracy started long before politicians associated with the military wing of Brazilian politics lost its battle over the hearts and souls of locals. But in the late 1980’s, the last vestiges of military rule had been wiped out. But not their policies of hyperinflation. But as a new constitution was drafted, certain positive rights were added to the final document, prompting “public health” to play an important role in the building of a new nation. “Health is a right of all and an obligation of the State,” the documented guaranteed. By late 1990, a law had been added to the books, prompting the launch of Brazil’s “Unique Health System,” or SUS in Portuguese. As a child born into a family of doctors and healthcare providers, I remember the conversations around the dinner table. The worried tones and the discussion revolving around the growing demand for health service providers and the government’s chronic lack of understanding of the medical profession. In the beginning of his career,… Keep Reading
