Don’t Let Them Silence You

A leftist narrative gaining a lot of momentum in our current climate is “hate speech isn’t free speech!”, which, in essence, translates to “this speech, that you use, is not protected by the first amendment”. Seems a bit…convenient. Challenge this narrative, requesting a definition of “hate speech” and you will most likely find out that “hate speech” just means anything with which they disagree. This is why they don’t view your speech as permissible or even defensible under the law (the very law which they do not understand). Liberals also own this narrative so they no longer see it valuable to defend free speech at all. The left wing in American politics is increasingly becoming more radical now that they seem to have a monopoly on allowable opinions. From here on out, the tyranny of the mob dictates. The terrifying reality of this is the censorship effect. There are truly great and decent people who just don’t want to be branded racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc. They don’t want to… Keep Reading

In Show Of Fealty To The Left, Young America’s Foundation Cancels Ann Coulter’s Berkeley Speech

Under the pressure, the Young America’s Foundation (YAF) showed their true colors and buckled to ANTIFA leftists. Ann Coulter was scheduled to speak on Apr. 27 despite being canceled by UC-Berkeley, but that speech will no longer be happening because YAF pulled their support. “I’m so sorry Berkeley canceled my speech. I’m so sorry YAF acquiesced in the cancelation [sic]. And I’m so sorry for free speech crushed by thugs,” Coulter said to her supporters on Facebook earlier today. While the speech may have been canceled due to YAF’s lack of backbone, Coulter’s patriotic fans are not reacting in the same craven manner. Kyle “Based Stickman” Chapman, Gavin McInnes, Lauren Southern, and perhaps even Ann Coulter herself will be showing up in Berkeley to celebrate freedom of expression–with or without permission. War On The Free Press: Liberal Billionaire Sues Alex Jones For Defamation

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is under fire once again. Already undergoing a messy public custody battle with an ex-wife, Jones has now been implicated in a defamation lawsuit by Chobani, the world’s largest yogurt producer, who is seeking at least $10,000 in damages. Chobani is a massive proponent of importing refugees from third-world warzones to America and using these individuals for cheap labor. Jones and other right-wing commentators have pointed out a subsequent rise in tuberculosis cases by 500 percent after Chobani opened up their plant in Twin Falls, Idaho. The implication was the public health nightmare was caused, at least indirectly, by Chobani’s support of the refugee resettlement program. Chobani has already faced an immense backlash for its refugee-employing practices. An Infowars clip described a vicious child rape case committed by three refugees nearby the Chobani plant. Infowars analysts concluded that Chobani’s support of refugee resettlement very well may have enabled these foreign rapists to commit their heinous crime. Keep Reading

Ann Coulter Refuses To Be Silenced After UC-Berkeley Cancels Scheduled Speech

Due to threats of violence from leftist groups, the University of California-Berkeley has canceled Ann Coulter’s speech scheduled for later this month. The hard-right polemicist is unfettered though, and says her speech will go on with or without government permission. UC-Berkeley issued a series of demands required for Coulter to speak on their campus, according to Young Americans for Freedom, the event sponsors. “Coulter, we were informed, would be required to deliver her speech in the afternoon; only students would be allowed to attend; and the speech location would not be announced until close to the event,” Spencer Brown wrote in a YAF article. Coulter complied with all of these demands provided that Oakland police would do their jobs and the University would denounce any violence or disruptions to her speech as intolerable. In response, UC-Berkeley decided to cancel the event completely. “This is as clear-cut a case as it gets that public universities are using taxpayer dollars to shut down conservative speech, while allowing liberal speech only,” Brown… Keep Reading

Despite Threats And Protests, Richard Spencer Will Speak At Auburn University Tonight

Although the University officially canceled the event, that is not going to stop controversial ethnonationalist Richard Spencer from speaking in Auburn, AL tonight. He will be giving his speech only a few days after the brouhaha in Berkeley amidst a tumultuous battleground of fiery left and right wing forces. “An injunction has been filed,” Richard Spencer said in an interview with the Auburn University student newspaper. “We feel the law is on our side. I think it’s very clear. The Supreme Court has been unequivocal in terms of supporting people in situations like ours.” Spencer was set to speak in a university building, but Auburn University canceled last week due to security concerns. Thus, he will be giving his speech instead at a campus “free-speech zone” at from 7pm to 9pm tonight where he will spread his identitarian message to his alt-right followers. ANTIFA is expected to have a heavy presence at the event as well, and clashes are anticipated. “What I’m going to do now is I’m going… Keep Reading

Based Stickman Reigns Supreme As Patriots Send Masked Leftists Running For Cover In Berkeley

Although he was arrested for his role in the melee, Kyle Chapman, a.k.a. the Based Stickman, is declaring the free speech rally that he helped organize in Berkeley on Saturday to be a smashing success. “We have effectively defeated ANTIFA. We have got them driven back all the way away from the park… They tried to attack us earlier, we destroyed them and ran them all the way down the street,” Chapman said. Keep Reading

Ending The Free Speech “Victim’s Mentality” On Campus

Benjamin Franklin once wrote that “Freedom of speech is a principal pillar of a free government: When this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved, and tyranny is erected on its ruins.” Liu Xiaobo, in challenging the oppression of Chinese communism, said, “Free expression is the base of human rights, the root of human nature and the mother of truth. To kill free speech is to insult human rights, to stifle human nature and to suppress [the] truth.” Louis D. Brandeis, a U.S. Supreme Court justice appointed by Woodrow Wilson, proclaimed that “It is the function of speech to free men from the bondage of irrational fears.” What all of these figures from recent human history, including scores of other great voices for freedom of speech (American or foreign), have in common is the basic, underlying acceptance of unhindered free speech as a weapon of peace and diversity in the great experiment of humanity’s free will. Standing With Milo Yiannopoulos Against Media Witch Hunt

The political arena becomes more Machiavellian with each passing day. This week’s firestorm includes controversial journalist and provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, who was accused of defending pedophilia and child sex. Milo is already experiencing immense fallout from this media-generated outrage. The political establishment has embarked on a witch-hunt against Milo like never before. Sadly, it looks like the sphere originated from “conservative” media outlets and pundits who were prominent Donald Trump critics over the past year. Already, Milo lost his book deal with Simon & Schuster and was dropped as the keynote speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Keep Reading

Disagree? No, You’re Just An Ignoramus.

The Left’s totalitarian ideology doesn’t lend much credence to diversity of thought, viewpoint, or opinion. While leftists on college campuses are gunning for diversity of skin color and ethnicity, they decry opposing views as physically harmful. Both students and faculty retreat to the cocoon of so-called ‘safe spaces’ to shield themselves from the scourge of dissent. What’s more, those with minority opinions can’t just disagree with the Left. They clearly must be liars or deniers. From the lack of free speech on college campuses to the media condemning ‘fake news’, there is no room for opposition to the leftist narrative. Those who oppose gun-control are indicted as ignorant, bigoted, and bitter gun-clingers. Anyone who questions ‘progressive solutions’ to the ‘catastrophe’ of climate change is labeled a denier of science. Those who contest the morality of a social welfare state are called racist liars. In fact, any individual who dares object to the Left’s narratives is not simply incorrect. They don’t just disagree. They are purposely rejecting reality or maliciously… Keep Reading

Grand Valley State University Sued For Discriminating Against Conservative Students

Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing a conservative student group at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) filed a federal lawsuit against the school last Wednesday after the students faced discrimination and threats of arrest from campus administrators. University officials told members of the Turning Point USA chapter at the school that they could not hand out pocket constitutions and talk to students about the First Amendment because the members were not standing in one of the university’s two Orwellian “free speech zones.” GVSU police and administrators told club founder Tim McKeeby and member Joe Tucker that they would be arrested for trespassing if they didn’t cease their pro-free speech activism. In one incident, campus police told the students “if you continue to stay here, then we’ll need to arrest you.” Keep Reading

Joy Behar Is Free To Hate On Trump, So Why Can’t Women Hate Clinton?

On Friday, “The View” host and comedian Joy Behar asked co-hosts why does she “have to be so nice” about President-elect Donald Trump. “If [Republicans] didn’t like Obama, it was about his politics,” she added. “[Trump] is about what he said,” and because of that, Joy vowed to be “the thorn in his side as long as I breathe.” So far, so good. After all, don’t we all take pride in the fact we can disagree (somewhat) freely in the United States? The problem is that as the marriage between special interests and state power players remains in place, outlets responsible for the dissemination of news and entertainment are also turning into platforms ripe for censorship. As major news organizations whose staffs are politically aligned with the left sell commentary as factual news, it’s increasingly difficult for many to voice their opinions against a particular candidate or even a policy without facing some backlash. Why America Should Refuse To Be Like Germany

The fine line between protest and violence has been repeatedly crossed these past days. Despite the hostility, few of those who feel legitimately threatened seem to  be pressuring the government — or even private organizations — to monitor the Internet for “hate” or threatening speech. On the other hand, many electors feeling left out of the process due to their candidate’s loss have used the Internet to urge others to pay attention to a surge in attacks against minorities in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidential win, despite the fact several instances of “Trump inspired” aggression or vandalism have mostly turned out to be fabricated. But in contemporary times, these discrepancies matter as much as President Barack Obama’s record-breaking war on the Muslim world. As social media companies are pressured to “do something,” Facebook and Twitter launch a war against “fake news” and offensive content. And while in America, this campaign has just begun to scare social media users, in Germany, companies like Facebook might soon be held criminally… Keep Reading

The Importance Of Startup Political Publications: Entrepreneurship And Information

Years ago when I was in my first year of undergraduate study at my university, I had an inkling of what I desired to do as a career outside of pure academia: political journalism. But in order to do it and make something of a living at it, I didn’t quite know where to start – politically, I was a bit of a square peg, with my socially liberal views oftentimes seen as directly contradictory to my fiscally conservative ones. And yet, a handful of smaller publications that shared my vociferously individualistic approach to political writing, and fortunately, they decided to take a chance on me. These outlets were essentially start-ups; virtual magazines without printing presses and major publishing houses behind them; backed my passionate and ingenious entrepreneurs rather than bug businessmen in overprices suits and bottom lines. Seeking the truth and shooting straight – not selling fixed narratives to a certain demographic – were the desires that drove these guys to build their own little media empires. I felt… Keep Reading

Snowflakes: Stop Shutting Down Free Speech

A lack of diverse political discussion on college campuses does more harm than help to developing students. College is a place for exploring new ideas and opening your mind to concepts you’ve never heard of before; not cowering in fear and retreating at the sight of chalk writings found on your campus sidewalk. What has the environment on college campuses become if students are feeling threatened and unsafe because of someone writing a political candidates name in chalk on a sidewalk? A history of shutting down political discussion, particularly from the right, has been emerging across college campuses and can have a detrimental effect on student’s education. Just recently, when conservative commentator Ben Shapiro came to speak at California State University, Los Angeles, students had to literally sneak into the event due to organizations such as Black Lives Matter and the Black Student Union protesting and obstructing the events entrance. Rather than shutting down speech that is contrary to your beliefs, students should engage on the subject. Students have… Keep Reading
