Hypocrisy At The Heart Of The Left

There exists no dearth of outrage on the Left toward the perceived hypocrisy of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party at large. Mr. Trump, they remind us, was elected due to a number of campaign promises, not least of them was the pledge to “drain the swamp”, a not-so-thinly-veiled allusion to the pervasive influence of lobbyists and career politicians infesting the halls of power in Washington, D.C. Mr. Trump’s cabinet nominees, particularly Steve Mnuchin and Betsy DeVos, are stark examples in the minds of leftists that our president has broken his word. The Left is correct, from time to time, when they call out the hypocrisy of the Right. We cannot on one hand claim to be for limited government and then on the other demand Big Brother interfere in a woman’s right to choose to exterminate her young. We cannot claim to be for free markets while also bending to the will of big business lobbies that demand unfair tax breaks and access to our regulatory apparatus… Keep Reading

The Authors Of Prosperity

Amid a torrent of rumors surrounding the allegedly chaotic Trump transition, there have been some glimmers of hope emerging from the fledgling ascendance of the Manhattanite billionaire to the halls of power in Washington, DC. Vice President-elect, Mike Pence, has taken the reins of the transition process and his first order of business was to fire all lobbyists from the team, a promising sign that Trump plans to make good on his campaign pledge to “drain the swamp.” Coming on the heels of this welcome news is the report that the president-elect will order a ban on all lobbying activities for outgoing administration officials. And yet more happy news: James Clapper, head of the NSA, serial liar, and establishmentarian to boot, has resigned. The swamp is draining itself. As hopeful as all this appears, these optimistic developments are tempered by headlines pronouncing an energetic pessimism by those who refuse to find a silver lining in the outcome of our recent electoral contests. Here’s Why I Attack Hillary More Than Trump

A close friend of mine has been busting my balls lately with comments that look something like this, “I see you’ve been defending Trump and attacking Hillary quite a bit lately. Can we assume you’re backing Trump now?” It’s not the first time I’ve received a comment like this. In a political climate so polarizing and a social climate that shoves the “vote or die” mantra down our throats, I can understand why someone would come to this conclusion. We have a false range of choices, and people quickly look to the faintest hint of support or dissent as an excuse to slap an easy label on their friends, family, and colleagues. Not to mention, I indeed have attacked Hillary far more than I have Trump. The short answer is no, I do not support Trump. Keep Reading

Hillary Clinton: The Undemocratic Nominee

Everyone’s suspicions were confirmed when it was revealed last week that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) had planned on a Hillary Clinton nomination before a single ballot was cast.  Through various leaked documents stretching back to before the voting actually began, we received a first hand look last week at the inner workings of the DNC and their love affair with electing another Clinton.  As it turns out, poor Bernie Sanders never stood a chance, and Democrats everywhere have been made to look like fools for believing their vote actually mattered in this rigged party nomination. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the DNC, has been the puppeteer behind the scenes pulling all the strings, making it virtually impossible for there to be anything but a Clinton on the ticket for the Democrats.  This should really come at no surprise for those familiar with Wasserman Schultz’s history, however, in 2008 she was co-chair for Hillary’s campaign.  This documents seem to solidify the link, and if nothing else, at least give… Keep Reading

Renegade Party: A New Home For Conservative Rebels?

After being blasted on Breitbart as a “Republican spoiler” and “renegade Jew” for refusing to support GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump, founder and editor of the Weekly Standard, Bill Kristol, is firing back. Taking in stride the comments from the Trump-adoring media outlet, Kristol recently purchased the web domain www.RenegadeParty.com and created the twitter account @RenegadeParty. I've bought https://t.co/xKmuMgr8Eh. Redirects (for now) to https://t.co/Np2BpY3HMA. Ducks all in a row. All that's needed now: a candidate. — Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) May 17, 2016   https://twitter.com/RenegadeParty/status/732676451376365568 Since the rise of Trump, voices on the right have been advocating for a true conservative to step forward as a third party option. Rumors have been swirling of closed door strategic meetings with #NeverTrump Republicans and names such as Mark Cuban, Ben Sasse, and John Kasich have been throw into the mix as third party options. Will the Renegade Party be the new party name for the conservative alternative to a Trump/Clinton race? Public polling and research by Data Targeting, Inc., which was released today, paints a… Keep Reading
