It Is Time For Trump To Deep-Six The Deep State

We live in interesting times, indeed. Some historians have compared the accidental Roman Emperor Claudius, who reigned over 2000 years ago, with Donald Trump. He was an old man for Roman times and replaced the young, charismatic lunatic in Caligula who was assassinated in office after going mad with power. Claudius was an outsider who was brought into power by the Roman Praetorian Guard who wanted to see political change from the corrupt Augustinian lineage. The Roman establishment had written off the stammering, limping “monster of a man” in Claudius, which is what may have saved his life in the ruthless power struggles of the Roman aristocracy. Claudius played the role of buffoon as a shrewd politician to distract and disarm his critics. Keep Reading

Rand Paul Hammers Democrats: Senate Russia Hearings Are “All For Show”, “Political Theater”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) strongly defended the administration and criticized the Senate Intelligence Committee’s ongoing investigation of the Trump’s administration’s ties to Russia during a Monday interview with Jake Tapper on CNN. “I still think that we’ve got a Special Counsel, let them do their job. The rest is all for show. This is political theater. Really, those committees aren’t getting anywhere, if there was really anything done wrong, it’ll come out of the Special Counsel and my suspicion is that very little of anything will come out of there. There may be some people that didn’t file their paperwork properly or didn’t file to be registered as foreign agents, but I kind of doubt there’s going to be anything.” Paul went on to describe Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who is set to testify before the committee today, as a “hardliner on Russia” and that it was “sort of crazy” to allege that Sessions had any ties to the Russian government. Paul then derided the committee hearings as little… Keep Reading

In Search Of Monsters

The Democrats in Washington D.C. have been loud about impeaching President Donald Trump for a six month period. It seems to be their one trick pony. In fact, those on the Left are even calling out the blatant obviousness. In an article published on CNBC, a columnist stated that: “Getting back to the Democrats, their entire agenda can now be summed up as: Impeachment, resignation or bust. They’ve put all their eggs in this basket. And if they fail, a lot of their voters will clearly ask what good the current leadership is if it can’t even oust a man so much of the Democratic base sees as nothing short of the devil.” It’s fair to study the constitutionality behind an impeachment and their claims for it. First, they invoke Article II Section 4 of the Constitution, which states: Keep Reading

Laws Are For The Proletariat, Not The Elite

FBI Director James Comey demonstrated that he can take the dance floor and do the Texas Two-Step better than anyone out there. His performance will be heralded for his intellectual ability to build a case that goes in one clear direction, and then swings suddenly and inexplicably the other way.   I am a writer of novels and screenplays. Some of my work will be judged better than others, but at the very least I have avoided the writing sin known as the deus ex machina. This is a device where the writer inserts a totally arbitrary plot development that has nothing to do with what has happened before in order to resolve the story. The inexorable logic of the plot points in one direction, but the storyteller does not want it to end there for one reason or another. Therefore, he just concludes his tale in a way that does not flow from the material.   Readers feel cheated, when they stumble upon a deus ex machina; and… Keep Reading
