Pence: “The President And I Really Like Sen. Rand Paul … A Man Of Principle And Conviction”

Vice President Mike Pence showered praise on Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) during a roundtable event with business leaders on Thursday in Lexington, Kentucky. “Now let me say from my heart, the President and I really like Senator Rand Paul,” Pence said. “I’ve known him for a lot of years. He’s a man of principle and conviction. Trump Backs Rand Paul Proposal As Plan B On Health Care

In a Friday tweet, President Donald Trump appeared to back a proposal put forward by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on how to proceed with Obamacare, should the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA) fail to pass the United States Senate.  The President stated that if Senate Republicans are “unable to pass [the BCRA]”, they should “immediately repeal and replace at a later date.” Keep Reading

Rand Paul Issues List Of Demands On GOP Health Care Reform

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has issued a list of policy proposals that he would like to see added to the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA), in order to garner his support for the sweeping health care reform bill. In a letter addressed to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and copied to President Donald Trump, President pro tempore Orrin Hatch (R-UT),  Senate Budget Committee Chair Mike Enzi (R-WY) and Senate HELP Committee Chair Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Paul lays out four possible amendments to the present legislation that would increase the likelihood of him backing the bill.
