One day after announcing support from Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Judge Roy Moore followed it up with another marquee endorsement. This time, it is Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) vouching for the outsider who defeated his establishment-backed challenger handily last month in a GOP runoff primary election in Alabama. “Judge Roy Moore has spent a lifetime defending and standing up for the Constitution while fighting for the people of Alabama,” Paul said in a press release from the Moore campaign. “We need more people in Washington, D.C. that will stand on principle and defend the Constitution. Kicked To The Curb: Trump Abandoned ‘Loser’ Strange Ahead Of Alabama Primary

The Alabama Republican primary had long been labeled as a critical flashpoint between the party establishment and insurgent conservative activists. Former State Supreme Court justice Roy Moore, who has led in the polls from early on, has been seen as the anti-establishment candidate. The social conservative is known for not pulling any punches in his religious and political views. Despite him being the outsider candidate who is being massively outspent, President Donald Trump had been supporting establishment favorite Senator Luther Strange for months. It was a move that puzzled many supporters given that he once campaigned on the slogan “drain… Keep Reading

The Liberty Conservative has announced that it is endorsing Judge Roy Moore in the special election for U.S. Senate in Alabama. Moore is set to face establishment stalwart Sen. If elected, Moore has pledged to stand up to Mitch McConnell, and to stand with Senate conservatives such as Rand Paul and Mike Lee. By contrast, Strange, a former Washington lobbyist, is being propped up to the tune of $8 million by McConnell-linked… Keep Reading

President Trump Bets On Big Loser, Cannot Fill Seats In Alabama For Luther Strange Rally

Once again, President Donald Trump was played for a sap by the GOP establishment. After endorsing Sen. Mitch McConnell’s crony Luther Strange against his hard-right constitutional challenger last month, Trump is now planning to stump for Strange this Friday. There is only one problem though: Nobody is showing up to hear Trump’s doublespeak. White House officials told Breitbart News that they are having trouble filling up a large venue on behalf of Strange, the establishment crony who was appointed to his position in the U.S. Senate by disgraced former Gov. Robert Bentley. Organizers are downsizing to a smaller venue than… Keep Reading

He needs to beat Mitch McConnell’s crony Luther Strange, who was appointed to the seat after Jeff Sessions was appointed Attorney General earlier this year. To rally conservatives behind him, Moore is taking a stand against federal education mandates. “The states have various forms of education, but the federal government has no involvement in education under the Constitution,” Moore said in a video address released on Twitter over the weekend. Moore particularly focused his ire on… Keep Reading

Alabama Attorney General Sues Birmingham For Covering Confederate Monument

The Alabama Attorney General’s office filed a lawsuit against the city of Birmingham for hiding a Confederate monument in Linn Park on Wednesday, according to USA Today. A crew erected plywood walls around the 52-foot-tall obelisk that honors Confederate sailors and soldiers, after a violent white supremacist rally defending a Confederate monument in Charlottesville, VA turned deadly over the weekend. Concealing the monument violated a state law that aims to preserve historic monuments, and the AG’s office intends to get to the bottom of the controversy. “My office has determined that by affixing tarps and placing plywood around the Linn… Keep Reading

Alabama High School Institutes Thought Control, Bans Conservative Book List

Alabama teacher Gene Ponder is clearly well-versed in conservative and libertarian knowledge, and he wanted to impart that knowledge onto his students. A long-time Republican activist, he assigned a reading list of books to his students that immediately caused a great deal of controversy. Ponder assigned a list of books for his AP Government/Economics students including “Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto,” “End the Fed,” “No They Can’t: Why Government Fails-But Individuals Succeed,” “Great Myths of the Great Depression,” and “The County Sheriff: America’s Last Hope.” The good cross-section of libertarian and conservative views represented in the list was meant… Keep Reading
