Reports emerged on Monday that packs of student protestors at the infamous Evergreen State College had been spotted “patrolling” campus armed with baseball bats. These reports – corroborated in the attached image – come as the Washington liberal arts institution faces increased scrutiny in response to a series of videos exposing a pattern of shocking and hateful behavior from Evergreen students.
The trend of embarrassments for the College began when a collective attempt to purge White students and faculty from campus for a day was revealed, in part due to a Biology Professor Bret Weinstein’s refusal to acquiesce to the purge, which he deemed an “act of oppression.” Weinstein’s stance against the anti-white campus event led him to be confronted by a mob of belligerent students enraged at his refusal to leave campus. Weinstein would go on to provide insightful details on the College’s state of existence on the Joe Rogan Experience, comparing the attitude of the faculty to that of a “cult.”
Evergreen Administration later responded to the reports of a “campus patrol” with a mass email urging the self-appointed “militia-lite” to disarm:
“Community patrols can be a useful tool for helping people to feel safe, however the use of bats or similar instruments is not productive. Some members of this group have been observed carrying batons and/or bats. Carrying bats is causing many to feel unsafe and intimidated. The bats must be put away immediately in order to protect all involved. Non-students participating in this activity are advised to leave campus.”
It is possible that the self-appointed Campus Patrol decided to take armed action in response to reports of an imminent threat against the College originating from a fake Bret Weinstein Facebook page that was threatening violence on campus in his name. If anything, the party most likely in need of (professional and serious) protection is Weinstein, not the laughable-if-not-dangerous armed band of campus patrollers.
