The Mainstream Media Isn’t Even Hiding Their Bias Anymore

Last night, the news broke that Hillary Clinton apparently clinched the Democratic nomination. While this is an outcome that probably didn’t surprise many people outside of Senator Bernie Sanders’ devoted following, it’s something that certainly did cause shockwaves. The Associated Press called it on a day there were no primaries. Who voted to change the outcome?

The answer is nobody. The Associated Press just affirmed that the fix is in.

Hillary Clinton was widely speculated to be locking up the nomination Tuesday night after a number of contests are projected to put her over the top, so less than twenty-four hours isn’t very groundbreaking. But it’s still interesting. Nobody voted, what changed?

The answer is in the Associated Press’s press release, in which it stated two things counted to reach this conclusion. The first was obvious, which is the tally of delegates won through primaries and caucuses. The second one was stunning, which was a survey of party insiders known to be superdelegates.

Seriously? A survey? Hillary Clinton clinched the Democratic nomination with a survey?

The mainstream media isn’t even hiding it anymore. Every news outlet and self-described journalist who parroted this line for the web hits and retweets just threw a shovel full of dirt on the grave of journalistic integrity.

Not that it’s any big secret the media doesn’t report actual news anymore.

images The mainstream media isn't even hiding their bias anymore images 12The California contest has been hyped up by the media for weeks as the big showdown between a candidate desperate to clinch and a U.S. Senator refusing to backdown. All of the self-described journalists, television talking heads, and radio hosts were all talking about how everything came down to now.

And then all of the hype was sucked out of it by the same media that played it up. Why?

It probably has much to do with Senator Sanders closing in on Hillary Clinton in the state. How is the pro-Clinton narrative going to be fulfilled if everything they built up is taken over by the defiant United States Senator from Vermont?

So the Associated Press pulled out some random survey of insiders who are known to be superdelegates and declared someone the victor. There won’t be any accountability, because the entire mainstream media fell in line.

Reporters didn’t raise questions, outlets didn’t point out the obvious flaw. Mainstream journalism as we know today it is devoid of integrity and ultimately dead.

But all of this division and wrongdoing is going to really strain relations within the Democratic Party. That could elect Donald Trump as President.

But whether it’s President Donald Trump or President Hillary Clinton, the mainstream media doesn’t care. At the end of the day, the former is a headline generator with the obnoxious things he says. The latter is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation because she’s corrupt. Either will sell newspapers and at the end of the day, the media puts the top dollar before any journalistic integrity it claims to have.
