Federal Charges Expected To Be Filed Against Neighbor Who Assaulted Rand Paul

One week ago today, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was viciously attacked outside of his home while mowing his lawn. His long-time neighbor and socialist Bernie Sanders supporter, Rene Boucher ambushed Paul resulting in the Senator suffering six broken ribs as a result. This is the latest in a rash of leftist terror attacks that have swept the nation, as the mainstream media stokes the flames.

According to sources close to FOX News, federal investigators intend to press further charges against Boucher. The act is believed to have been politically motivated, as Boucher’s social media page was littered with propaganda against Trump and in favor of the Democratic Party, and the feds are apparently not buying the narrative being manufactured regarding the incident.

The mainstream media and Boucher’s lawyers have tried to frame what happened as a run-of-the-mill property dispute gone bad, to normalize the event and help Boucher escape justice for his cowardly attack on Paul.

“Senator Paul and Dr. Boucher have been next door neighbors for 17 years,” said Matthew J. Baker, Boucher’s attorney, in a press release. “The unfortunate occurrence of November 3rd has absolutely nothing to do with either’s politics or political agendas. It was a very regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial.”

However, Paul and his advisors have consistently defied that spin. They are adamant that what occurred was far from trivial, and very much a one-sided affair.

“The Pauls have had no conversations with (Boucher) in many years,” Paul’s senior adviser Doug Stafford said.

“The first ‘conversation’ with the attacker came after Sen. Paul’s ribs were broken,” Stafford said. “This was not a ‘fight,’ it was a blindside, violent attack by a disturbed person. Anyone claiming otherwise is simply uninformed or seeking media attention.”

Boucher pleaded not guilty in court to misdemeanor assault charges, and was granted $7,500 bail. This paltry figure shocked observers who felt that the judge may have been tacitly condoning violence against prominent conservatives. A powerful message will be sent if the feds do in fact levy additional charges, possibly even terror charges, against Boucher for his outburst of liberal rage against Paul.
