Donald Trump Is No Conman

in Politics by

Since the beginning of his campaign to become President of the United States, Donald Trump has been accused of being a fraud. He is, according to the Left and the Never Trump movement, a conman. One of the most outlandish theories to date has been that he was deliberately self-destructing both himself and the Republican Party to help his old-crone crony, Hillary Clinton. For a time – a short time – I thought there might be something to the theory. I have since reformed myself and come to grips with reality. Not everyone is as smart as I am.

The authenticity of his aspirations is unmistakable to the millions who voted for him, but the sincerity of his determination to Drain the Swamp and Make America Great Again is called into question every day by both common folk who vote for anyone with a D next to their name and the professional big mouths of the pundit/propaganda class. When President Trump told Jim Acosta at a fiery press conference that he and CNN are fake news, he was signaling that they too are part of the swamp and his intention is to drain them with the rest of the foul, festering wildlife. Having lived in the bottom of a toilet for so long it’s possible Acosta and his colleagues lack the perspective necessary to realize something so obvious.

It’s possible Acosta and the rest of the reptilian freaks at CNN may be so deluded that they believe they truly are a real news organization entrusted with the sacred duty of keeping our elected officials honest. Of course it’s equally possible – perhaps even more than likely – that Acosta, and the rest of the self-congratulatory liars at CNN know full well that they’re a pack of self-congratulatory liars. The only way to keep attention away from the fact that they’re a cadre of conmen themselves is to continue the political blame game of accusing your adversary of your very own transgressions.

He who smelt it dealt it.

We should always hesitate when giving these snake oil salesmen too much credit, such as suggesting they’re merely deluded instead of sinister. Let’s just call it like we all know it is: CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, etc., are all liars, they know they’re liars, and they know full well that their mission as an unofficial arm of the Democratic Party is to defeat President Trump, elections be damned. It’s why the fake news story of the Russian Connection still dominates headlines despite a complete dearth of any evidence to support it. And these people have the stones enough to call our president a conman.

It gets better. Or worse, depending on how you look at it.

It was reported earlier this week that, in accordance with prior promises, President Trump is donating the entirety of his presidential paycheck to the National Parks Service. Maybe there aren’t enough people out there with enough experience at having been conned, but crooks who engage in confidence scams don’t generally give away the booty immediately after having received it. If he’s in it for the money, he’s doing a pretty lousy job.

But it was a paltry sum compared to what President Trump stands to gain in the long run, right? It’s all a diversion! He stacked his cabinet with millionaires and billionaires for crying out loud! He’s going to give them tax breaks! How could anyone be so blind as to have missed something so glaringly obvious? Bernie Sanders himself took to Facebook to point out that the elimination of the estate tax in particular would disproportionately benefit the president, his cabinet, and the rest of the evil one percent caste which has been pillaging our country for years. They don’t need any more tax breaks!

I could write an entire article about what a dimwitted hypocrite Bernie Sanders is. I could call into question the purchase of his third home, how he bent the knee and kissed the ring of a nasty woman who epitomizes everything he claims to hate, or I could highlight the fact that he pays taxes at a lower rate than President Trump. Suffice it to say, Bernie Sanders is at best a thoroughly imperfect messenger, at worst he’s a two-faced pinko goon diseased by an unhealthy obsession with other people’s money. And that brings us to the real point: The money saved by anyone who benefits from the elimination of the estate tax doesn’t belong to the government. It’s their money. If anyone is a conman dead set on stealing the fortunes of others, it’s Bernie Sanders and anyone who echoes his ambition of theft and redistribution of ill-gotten loot.

I suppose someone could draw attention to a recent report that President Trump may withdraw funds from his personal trust without publicly disclosing it. This, they might say is more evidence that he’s a con artist using the power of the presidency to conceal his actions and motives, all to enrich himself. But again, it’s his money. The only people engaged in a confidence scam are those who would take what is rightfully his or attempt to bind his hands so that he may not enjoy the vast fruits of his prolific labor.

And maybe someone would bring up the various golfing excursions and trips to Mar-A-Lago and the exorbitant expenses of the Trump family’s travel arrangements and living conditions. Thankfully President Trump kept a campaign promise to renegotiate the costs of the F35 program and in so doing, he saved our country hundreds of millions of dollars. The cost of his vacations and travel have been paid for. And what does he do when he’s golfing? He doesn’t play grab-ass with his buddies the way our previous Celebrity-in-Chief did. He works when he’s golfing. He gets us closer to much needed healthcare reform when he’s golfing. The man doesn’t stop working, whether he’s in Mar-A-Lago, the Oval Office, Airforce One, or on the fairway.

Conmen don’t save their victims money and they certainly don’t give it away after having received it. Keeping promises isn’t a hallmark of the con artist either. From killing the Trans-Pacific Partnership, to nominating a judge in the style of Scalia, to a (neutered) ban on Muslims, to giving a greenlight to the Keystone and Dakota Access Pipelines, President Trump is keeping his word. He’s fallen short on a couple of things but not every effort will be a success. The fact is, he’s following through on what he explicitly told us he would do. Not much of a conman if you ask me or anyone else with only a few brain cells.

As per usual, we’re getting nothing but more doublespeak from the Left. They’re the ones spreading the lies about Russia, they’re the ones greedy for other people’s money, they’re the ones who played on the “stupidity” of the American people to pass Obamacare. They’re guilty of everything they accuse President Trump of and we can’t be shy of calling them out for it.

Again, the oldest trick in the political playbook is accusing your adversary of your very own transgressions. It’s the only play remaining for the Left. President Trump is no conman, or if he is, he’s terrible at it. He blurts out everything that pops into his mind for the love of God. If there is a con at work, it’s coming from the Left. They think we won’t notice if they point enough fingers and shriek at the top of their lungs. But we’re on to them and we aren’t falling for it.
