CNN Spreads Anti-Russian Fake Story About Moscow School Closure

There has been a lot of discussion this year about fake news. The concern among many in society and across numerous political circles is how it will negatively affect our country. Polarization is growing worse and social media is feeding the intense dissension. The Internet is also breathing new life into fake news and giving it legs.

Many were alarmed after the alleged Pizzagate story led to a gunman storming a pizza restaurant.

Pizzagate involves an alleged child sex trafficking ring that operates out of Comet Ping Pong and Washington D.C. According to the popular Internet theory, it involves top political operatives close to the Clinton Administration including John Podesta, who was also the target of repeated hacks and leaks this election cycle.

There has never been a conclusive investigation or any official determination proving that the Pizzagate theory is real, but it has had real life consequences. It casts a dark cloud over various figures and the restaurant, and led to a gunman storming a restaurant.

Fake News is dangerous, but now CNN is attempting to do the same.

The Obama Administration has successfully worsened relations with Russia in its final days and President Barack Obama, a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, seems focused on marching towards war. After his political party bitterly lose the general election, the United States government has retaliated against Russia for reportedly leaking damning details about various Democratic Party entities and figures.

The bitter tension has resulted in various retaliating actions, though not all of them true.

CNN ran a story discussing the worsening relationship with Russia, and in it claimed that the Russian government closed down the Anglo-American School of Moscow. The school teaches United States, British, and Canadian embassy children.

It is also false, according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. Zakharova slammed CNN for spreading government propaganda and lies, while “inventing sanctions against its own children.”

During the election cycle, CNN was often accused of having a bias in favor of Hillary Clinton. Among the numerous instances of clear favor and staunch opposition to President-Elect Donald Trump, it has kept Anthony Bourdain on the air after comparing Trump Restaurant chefs to Nazi soldiers, while firing Dr. Drew for raising medical questions about Clinton’s health.

At this point, is it any surprise that CNN is being fed its lines by the Democratic Administration like it fed debate questions privately to the Democratic presidential nominee?

The only danger here is that tensions aren’t just cooling, they’re becoming increasingly dangerous. During the Cold War, numerous countries became entangled in proxy wars between the United States and Soviet Union. Even directly with each other, tensions became concerning and even almost plunged the planet into nuclear war during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Rather than seeking diplomacy, the Obama Administration seems determined to sabotage the incoming Trump Administration by forcing the United States into a dangerous conflict with Russia.

CNN is further cementing its own image as an unreliable news site by spreading fake news for the Obama Administration as it marches the United States towards war. If President Obama continues on his present course, we may just land a bitter feud and only get a Cold War. At worse, World War 3 could erupt and the wars we see abroad are only the tip of the iceberg in comparison to what we’ll see down the road.

And it will all occur with the help of CNN.
