Roy Moore: A Victory For The Hard Right

A seismic earthquake hit Alabama’s elections on Tuesday. Former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court Roy Moore primary challenged incumbent Senator Luther Strange, and in doing so he took on the entire Republican establishment – from Mitch McConnell, to Mike Pence, Donald Trump, and even the NRA – and won. Judge Moore accomplished this despite being outspent by a more than 10-to-1 margin. Roy Moore’s victory is proof that big money and national endorsements don’t matter, what matters are the issues and the record that a candidate runs on. And there’s no doubt that Judge Moore’s hard right bona… Keep Reading

Equifax Chief Information Security Officer Was An Affirmative Action Hire

Following a security breach that exposed the credit information of 143 million people to hackers, it was revealed that Equifax Chief Information Security Officer Susan Mauldin was a music major in college. Equifax, which is a credit reporting agency, hired Mauldin as their Chief Information Security Officer in 2013. Previously, Mauldin was the Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at First Data Corporation until 2013. Prior to that, she was also SunTrust Banks’ Group Vice President from 2007 to 2009. How she got any of these positions, or the skillset required for them, is still an open question considering… Keep Reading

House Freedom Caucus Members Introduce El Chapo Act

On Thursday, several House Freedom Caucus members introduced the El Chapo Act, the House companion bill to Sen. Ted Cruz’s proposal to fund Trump’s border wall without the use of taxpayer dollars. The El Chapo Act was introduced by Rep. Mo Brooks and cosponsored by Congressmen Tom Garrett, Steve King, and Louie Gohmert – all members of the House Freedom Caucus. Rep. Kevin Brady, who is not a member of the House Freedom Caucus, also cosponsored the bill. The introduction of the El Chapo Act in the House comes in the midst of debate in Congress about whether to fund the construction of… Keep Reading

Amid Soaring Asylum Requests, House Bill Would Give Amnesty To Venezuelan Illegals

A bipartisan bill introduced in the House of Representatives on Wednesday would give Venezuelan refugees and illegal immigrants a path to legal residency and eventual citizenship in the United States. The bill, called the Venezuelan Refugee Assistance Act, was introduced by Carlos Curbelo (R-FL) and Darren Soto (D-FL). The bill was cosponsored by Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL). “For over a decade, thousands of Venezuelans were forced to flee the brutal Chavez dictatorship, and now, the situation has not improved under his hand-picked successor, Nicolas Maduro,” Curbelo said, citing the socialist government’s political violence. “This bill will allow Venezuelan nationals… Keep Reading

US Will Give Saudi Arabia Nuclear Technology In Deal Pushed By Top Trump Advisors

Several Trump administration officials are pushing a diplomatic deal that would give Saudi Arabia nuclear technology for civilian purposes, according to Mike Cernovich, the independent journalist who broke the stories about Susan Rice spying on Trump officials and H.R. McMaster wanting a massive ground war in Syria. National Security Advisors H.R. McMaster and Dina Powell, along with Chief Economic Advisor Gary Cohn, are all pressuring President Donald Trump to accept the deal in preparation for a ground war in Syria, according to some sources close to Cernovich. Trump, however, is reluctant to go through with the deal. Keep Reading

Cato VP Attacks Ron Paul, Calls His Ideas a “Hideous Corruption Of Libertarian Ideas”

In a series of tweets Wednesday afternoon, Cato Institute Vice President of Research Brink Lindsey called Ron Paul a xenophobe, conspiracy theorist, and Paul’s philosophy a “hideous corruption of libertarian ideas.” In two back-to-back tweets, the Cato VP stated that “the most prominent libertarian voice of recent times, Ron Paul, opposed all trade agreements and promoted anti-trade conspiracy theories” and “Ron Paul’s xenophobia was a hideous corruption of libertarian ideas and puts his movement in the Trumpism family tree.” Keep Reading

Trump Voters: Stop Syria Strikes, Put America First

Following President Trump’s airstrike in Syria, where over 50 cruise missiles were launched at a Syrian airbase in response to a chemical attack, something remarkable happened: Trump’s “America First” base revolted. First, #SyriaHoax started trending on Twitter, which called into question whether Assad’s government in Syria was responsible for the gas attack – many believed that it was a false flag attack by either Turkey, Saudi Arabia, or CIA-backed rebels meant to draw the U.S. into war, similar to the false-flag chemical attack in 2013. As Ron Paul said, “does anyone believe that on the eve of peace talks, just… Keep Reading

Non-Interventionists Praise Donald Trump For Giving $300 Billion Invoice To German Chancellor

President Donald Trump gave German Chancellor Angela Merkel a $300 billion invoice for money her country owes the United States for military protection. The $300 billion invoice, which Trump reportedly handed over to Merkel during private talks in Washington, was described as “brilliant” by Jason Kessler of Unity and Security for America, a non-interventionist grassroots lobbying group. “We’re happy that the President of the United States is finally doing something to put America first,” said Kessler. “By giving Merkel the $300 billion invoice, Trump is highlighting the billions of tax dollars that Americans wasted defending countries like Germany that refuse… Keep Reading

The Masses In Motion: Why Libertarian Populism Is The Way Forward

For students of political strategy, the 2016 presidential race was a remarkable and informative election. This is especially true for grassroots libertarians who want to learn how to build an electoral coalition capable of winning national elections. It shows why libertarian populism must be the way forward for activists interested in advancing the liberty movement. Donald Trump – or should I say President Trump – accomplished something incredible: he methodically took down sixteen of the Republican Party’s best candidates in the primaries and then annihilated Hillary Clinton in an electoral landslide, holding on to traditional red states while winning states… Keep Reading

Why Rex Tillerson Gives Neocons Heartburn

Donald Trump announced this morning that he will nominate ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State. But Trump can’t expect to get Tillerson’s nomination through the Senate without a fight. Tillerson also received critical coverage from leading neoconservative publications including the National Review and the Weekly Standard. So what is behind neoconservatives’ opposition to Tillerson? Grand Valley State University Sued For Discriminating Against Conservative Students

Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing a conservative student group at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) filed a federal lawsuit against the school last Wednesday after the students faced discrimination and threats of arrest from campus administrators. University officials told members of the Turning Point USA chapter at the school that they could not hand out pocket constitutions and talk to students about the First Amendment because the members were not standing in one of the university’s two Orwellian “free speech zones.” GVSU police and administrators told club founder Tim McKeeby and member Joe Tucker that they would be arrested for… Keep Reading
