Why Is Public Opinion Shifting On Athletes Kneeling During National Anthem?

The country has become engulfed in the National Anthem debate once again. Last year, National Football Player Colin Kaepernick ignited a firestorm of public opinion and debate by refusing to honor the National Anthem. In the months since, it has spread to other players and across numerous sports. Kaepernick’s reason for doing so was to protest racial inequality, a reason many others have adopted. In the beginning, many in the general public stood by Kaepernick. While there is an argument regarding respect, they understand the importance of standing up for what is right. There are legitimate issues nationally regarding racial… Keep Reading

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee Kneels In Protest On Congressional Floor

What started with National Football League player Colin Kaepernick last year has become a full blown movement across the country. It slowly moved around the NFL, with other players joining Kaepernick to kneel during the National Anthem to protest their cause. For Kaepernick, it was a social justice cause calling attention to racial inequality. This is the same for other players, while others have done it purely out of solidarity with other protesters. In the last couple of weeks, it’s spread to Major League Baseball and become a more widespread movement since President Donald Trump called anyone who does it… Keep Reading

Will President Trump Allow Release Of The Final JFK Assassination Documents?

The assassination of former President John F. Kennedy is known as one of the most tragic moments in United States history. A popular, young President was riding along in a motorcade in Dallas when he was shot dead sitting next to his wife, Jackie. The assassin would later be caught and then killed before he could tell his side of the story. Since, many questions have lingered. President Donald Trump reignited the debate when he defiantly proclaimed the NFL should fire these players, even going as far as using profanity to show his disdain toward the athletes. In response, players knelt or locked arms in solidarity. While the story was found in all the teams who did protest, one major story was found… Keep Reading

President Trump Tells Migrants To Stay Out, Slashes Number Of Incoming Refugees

During the presidential campaign, immigration was a defining issue for candidate Donald Trump. With bold pledges about rejecting refugees and building a big wall on the Mexican border, he was due to tackle immigration unlike any other President in recent history. As President, that has changed as Trump has struggled to match policy with his campaign promises in the midst of constant criticism. He has stood firm on his travel bans though, with battles raging all throughout the court system. It was something many opponents labeled as a Muslim ban, though he stood firm on the claim that it wasn’t.… Keep Reading

No, Rand Paul Is Not To Blame For Obamacare Repeal Failing

Healthcare is an important issue to many Americans for obvious reasons. If health coverage is unavailable or substandard, that can leave people without treatment and cause them undue suffering. For this, the simple fix for Democrats was to massively increase federal involvement in the industry. While some of these ideas may sound good in theory, the reality of the situation is that the more government doesn’t equal a better society. In terms of Obamacare, this has been demonstrably true. Genuine Political Revolutions Won’t Succeed Within Political Parties
